Pharmacy
Workload Management System
The Pharmacy Workload Management System is a stand alone PC based software. It is a data base program that provides a management tool to facilitate the tracking and reporting pharmacy workload data conforming to the MIS Guidelines. The software is designed and developed by DKK Health Systems Inc. of Toronto. CSHP which markets this software has also provided significant input into the strategy and direction of the program.
Presently there are over 120 hospital users across the country using the software. The adoption of the program is a national initiative supported by Apotex's PACE program. Provinces which have supported using this program include Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba and British Columbia.
Since the introduction of the original program about four years ago, there has been five upgrade releases already. The latest version (Release 3.1 for Windows) was launched in October of 1998. The latest package has been sent to all current users. Users may also download the Release 3.1 upgrade from this web page.
For users who choose not to use the windows version yet, they can continue to use the DOS version (Release 2.1)
